PASOK party leader George Papandreou, who stepped aside as prime minister to allow the formation of a coalition government earlier this month, told European Council President Herman van Rompuy on Friday that the central goal of the new Greek administration of Lucas Papademos was to secure the country’s place in the eurozone, sources said.
